After the tourist season is over, check with local canoe outfitters for a used one. You can probably pick one up at a very reasonable price. Just a tip.
craigslist is another option.
i agree check craigslst i saw a bunch of nice ccoleman canoes for 200 bucks. that was before summer thouh and i was in school so they sold befoer i had a chance to even look at them
MIght look at kayaks also, I've had three and they slice thru the water with little effort. I like the set on tops, much easier to get in and out of as well as fishing from.
