Aw, you could have had a little fun with the guy and left him something really nasty inside. I guess thats the natural prankster in me. Rigging it to fall apart once someone climbs inside would be a good one too.
I think you'd have every right to claim it. However, I may start off light; perhaps leave a sign on the blind warning the poacher of the issue, and he has X number of days to leave or will be reported to authorities. I only ponder this caution because depending on who you're dealing with, and if your home or parking is on the same property, you want to avoid undue retaliation. You're obviously already dealing with a sketchy character.
Ive never found a portable blind... found quite a few improvised blinds though....logs laid together around stumps blowdowns..etc. Ive reported it and have a good idea who the individuals are but all I can do is tear them down. But if they ever did leave something, portable, you best believe its going with me. I might leave a note...if they really want it back they can call me, but if your trespassing on my land...I dont have much sympathy.
heck yes, i'd take it for sure, free gear is always welcome, but poachers are not. Make every effort to find who it is so you can put a stop to it. Hang a sign that says: Trespassers will be shot, Survivors will be shot again!

I would take it to my local Game Warden and leave him a note to go get it. If it belonged to a poacher they won't have the b@lls to get it.
If its on your property, and your land is posted, then it looks like you just got yourself a new blind.
I'd keep the blind and even if I knew the poacher, I'd report him.
ya I called my game warden but he didnt return my call so Im just cepin it. maby neks year he'll give me a 2 man stand.lol
I'll call (TIP).

I'd keep it. If not use it, sell it make a little money.
If it's on your property,...it's yours
Call the game warden again. He is paid to take your calls. Poachers and tresspassers need to be delt with.
Yes. I have a pond on my hunt club and, when I catch people tresspassing they have a choice I kept there gear or I call the warden.

I have one as we speak. Found it on our land, had a pretty good idea whose it was, he didn't have permission, it's mine now.
Id call our tip line... get me a thousand bucks plus his donated ground blind...
report that s.o.b. to the law. around here the game wardens dont play around they go after people
I report this guy to the Game Warden and keep his ground blind in the process!!!
REport the tresspasser and take the blind, leave more no tresspassers signs and report any more violations.
I agree with Cgull. Take the blind and leave a No Trespassing sign in its place.
You leave something on my property it's mine!
Ya he had permishon to hunt last year.( but he aint huntin here any more.)
Do what I did a few years ago to squatter that just didn't take me seriously. Use his blind as a bathroom every chance you get. He'll get the message.
