how do you make a spout (or tap, whatever you call it) for collecting sap for syrup

1. Acquire means to travel.(Feet, car, unicycle ect.)
2. Go to hardware store.
3. Purchase.

They're relatively cheap, you may as well save the time and just buy them.

Years ago, my dad cut up a hollow cane pole. Drilled the hole in the tree and attached gallon milk jugs.

I Just use the hollow plastic snowplow sticks and cut them up...or go to the hardware store and buy some 1/4" PVC pipe...I got a 6 foot section for $1.99
