Q:
i live in south Georgia and the bass are in pre spawning patters. while fishing this morning i came upon the mother of all bass in this pond. the male was on the bed and was extremely easy to remove making the female more alert. but she would not bite. i tried everything from lizards to jerkbaits and never got anything. anyone have any advise? i call myself experienced but this fish has really got me off my game.

Live waterdog will bring her out very aggressive. That is if you can find them in your area. Live bait gets more response from sluggish fish. That's why it is not allowed in tournaments for bass.
Good luck with that. I have found they are much more aggressive late spawn and post spawn. Pre spawn they got babies to think about and food really isnt on their mind. It has nothing to do with your game just remember there are times they hit everything and times they dont bite at all

I used to lay a bait on the bed and they would try to carry it off of the bed and when they did -jerk. They wouldn't try to eat it just get it off of their bed.
dbramley, that is the whole point of using the Waterdog. They are egg eaters and one being near the nest the female bass will attack it because it is a natural preditor to fish eggs. I have seen a whole school attack one within 10 foot of a nest. Amazing how much they hate them.Never seen anything like it fishing
I agree with Sarge, only luck I have every had with those bedded bass is to lay a plastic bait in the bed and let them try to get rid of it.
A good type of bait when they are spawning would be green or orange twister tails (gander mountain brand) or make sure they have are salt scented.
