Has anyone used Anise, licorice flavor, as a bait scent on rubber lures while bass fishing? A guy I worked with would always swear by it making claims that bass tournaments would not allow it because it gave the anglers an unfair advantage. He is the only person I have heard use this and he is the type to tell very big fishin' stories. Anyone ever try it?

Never used it for bass, works great on black bears though... But that's a secret between just you and I. Sssshhhhh......
It is part of my catfish setup but not my bass... I actually caught my last flathead with it.
