Try to go with someone that has experience and knows what they are doing. Rapalas and spinner basis in 5-10 feet are the easiest, or just texas style worm.
try throwing a plastic like a frog or salamander in the heavy weeds on a heavier line and just work it across the top of the weeds.
Take that beautiful young lady in your avatar with you. If the fish don't bite, you'll at least have good company.
