Q:
Does anyone ever fish the mouth of goose creek going into the Potomac river in Northern VA? If so, what lures/baits are you most successful with?

The same lures you would use at other points on the upper potomac will work. Try 4 inch finesse works, texas rigged, the small floating rapala works well, along with smaller spinnerbaits. The average size fish you catch in this area of the potomac are going to be around 12 inches, so just make sure you downsize whatever lure you choose.

Thank you. I fish from shore , kayak or wade depending on the water. Also, beside the potomac, where are some decent places to get a nice sized fish that are in the area?
