shiner minnows on a #2 hook with a large bobber about 2.5 feet up. no sinkers.
toss it out near cover like weeds. In my opinion that is the easiest bass rig. also dont set the hook until the bobber is fully under water and has been for about 10 secs.
Live bait is always a good choice, especially as far as easy is concerned, but if you want to use artificials Texas rigged plastics, poppers, shallow running crank baits, floating frogs, and inline spinnerbaits have all produced well for me in small ponds. I tend to fish smaller baits in small water vs. fishing a big lake or reservoir too. Don't know if it holds true everywhere, but it seems to work good here.
i would use a weed less frog or a popper or a texas rigged plastic worm. you wanna take your frog and cast it on top of the weed and slowly jig and reel imitating a live frog and a popper just it about 2 feet from the weeds and slightly pop your rod imitating a wounded fish bass will love it

I'd start with small spinner baits. Beetle Spin and anything like them.
Bubba
Texas rigged curly tail worm.

a Moss boss. It skims along the top of the water which is nice because it avoids snags. This lure works well if your in lily pads or weedy areas
use a chartuse tube with a jig head.
use a worm and a bobber. It sure works for me. plus my two year old loves to watch the bobber go down.
eayest: worm bobber
best catch all bait: beattle spin
