I would try a few topwater lures like a devil horse or a rebel popper. I would also try crank baits like the bomber long A maybe a rapala and finally a jig or a carolina rig.
I don't think you're limited in a 4 mile long lake. Just about anything is fair game. That being the case, I would go with standard patterns for the time of year and the bass activity.

thanks huntcamp
Jitterbug
I love jigs with a twister tail grubs. Berkley Gulp is the route to take if you have never tried it. White, 4in. grub with a dark jig head.
Try using soft plastic worms. Texas rig them, carolina rig them, get some trick worms and fish them using the wacky worm rig. Fish the cover!
i usually switch between daredevils and the rubber worms if they dont go for one they almost always go for the other

I personally like frogs and then YUM worms... preferably in the pinkish color and yellow tail. That's what works for me!
Rat-L-Trap. Nuff said?
Good luck and good fishing.
Soft Plastics: texas rigged worms, and tubes are my favorites in small bodies of water.
I use a custom bent spinnerblade
I like twister tail grubs.
i personally like to use spinner baits until i find the fish, then i like to run a slower bait, maybe a tube or a football jig with a crayfish trailer
I enjoy using top water on small lakes early in the day like a popper but in mid day I use a floating rapala or hot n tot.
I usually like to use topwater late afternoon/evening or the original floating rapala.
use the Berkley® PowerBait® 4" Crazy Legs Chigger Craw it works great
