Well It's not so much a question as a statement. I told you guys a few months ago that I was going to buy a boat and I did!
Read first post for details.
Hey Guys for those of you that care, I got a Lowe 2010 Roughneck 170RV. I like the boat I got a 75HP Merc Optimax and it runs like a striped monkey. Anyway I was looking at a bunch of aluminum boats and picked the Lowe for the following reasons. I plan on fishing a lot on my own so I liked the placement of all the dry storage, live wells and such. They're all up on the front deck where they should be! The boat is 17'3" with an 8 deg bottom. It'll handle big water and is for the most part a pretty dry boat. The hull is .010 just like all the rest and IS HUGE across the top! I've fished 5 people out of it and you can all stand on one side and be fine. Oh yeah comes standard with Gator Hide (rhino liner) and gun box that runs the whole side of the boat! Its GREEN of course. Good for hunting and fishing and whatever else! I'm very happy and proud of the boat!!
Ive been out at least once a week when work allows. I caught a cat and smallmouth today. Going again tomorrow Its 100+ here so I take it in 3-4 hour blocks. Having a hard time catching them in 80+ degree water.
Hope you enjoy the boat. My older bro has been slaying the crappie, cats and shellcrackers in lake CO. Florida this year. Wesley is still enjoying the bow. I gave him arrows for Christmas.
good one! This "stuff" just comes to your fertile mind in an instant! Kind of a stand-up comic only sitting down at the keyboard...
I can see dual downriggers by Penn, "Structure Find" by Lowrance Electronics with charting capabilities, trolling motor, ...wow, that is a wet dream.
Last March, we saw a CA Game Warden video taping two guys in a green boat. He caught them shooting WCG while moving at wake speed. Called for back-up and tow truck...

Congrats on a very nice boat. Now go out and use it!
Yeah, I'm agreeing with panfry on this one...You shouldn't be on the computer right now, you should be on the water!
Congratulations on your new boat! Sounds like a beauty and should be a real benefit to you in the hunting season.
Congrats!!! Have fun with her (your boat is a girl, right?).
Sounds like a nice rig. Catch some fish for all the rest of us broke bastages.....

Have fun Brad. I took my boat out for the first time all year just today. Shame on me. She started right up like new. It's a 2005.
Lowe makes good boats. You made a good choice.
Sounds great, Brad. So, is she getting a name?
Weell its an Aluminum boat, I have no idea what to name her??
Don't think about what to name it. Just let it come to you. Kinda like nameing a dog.
For the love of God don't name it "Wet Dreams".
