I like the spinner bait because it can be used in any water condition.

A Johnson's weedless spoon with a tube on it, artificial crayfish, or a mepps. Depends where I am and the time of day, weather, etc.

Spinner bait is my 1st pick it is the most versatile bait and also allows you to cover a lot water fast when you need to. My #2 is topwater baits as said above they are a lot of fun.

Night time nothing beats topwater action with a Jitterbug.....gurgle gurgle gurgle...BAM!!!

All around, my favorite is my diving Rattletrap, rip it thru the water...dive it deep and then freeze it and let it slowly rise... works like a charm. That and Inline Spinners.
