Hey I've got a question about polarized fishing glasses. I have been looking into glasses for a while, and I was just wondering if anyone could give me advice for the best shade of the lenses to use, which brand you prefer, as well as any other helpful tips on picking out a good pair. For this, I'm really looking for a good pair so I'm not too worried about price, just great advice. Thanks alot.

My personal prefrence is Costa Del Mar, but most high-end manufacturers produce quality products. This includes Maui Jim, Oakley, etc. For all-around fishing use I would go with an amber lense, although vermillion is also a good choice. If you are looking for prescription sunglasses I would definitely suggest Costa Del Mar.
I use maui jim's with amber lenses and the visability is great, but like alabamahunter says any of the high-end glasses should have good results.
Costa Del Mar is by far my favorite. I have amber 400 lenses on mine but the 580 lenses are supposed to cancel all glare off water. I'm planning o getting the 580 lenses for my next pair. They are expensive but they are great glasses.
I have heard alot of positive about the amber lenses. I also heard some good things about the green lenses (not alot of companies make the green lenses; however, I know Costa Del Mar does). Anyone have an opinion on which has an edge for freshwater fishing mostly in smaller lakes and rivers?
at walmart they have these renegade glasses with amber lenses i have them and i love them ive wouldve never seen as many fish as i do with them on
I think the amber and green lenses both are very good for lakes and rivers where the amount of light can vary. I personally like the way the green lenses look.
Bronze/amber for freshwater, blue mirror for salt. Costa del Mar and H20ptix are how I roll. I also have a pair of Anarchy shades with gray-green polarized lenses that weren't designed with fishing in mind but worked very well on my trip to Lake George this weekend.

I have 2 pair of Oakley half jackets with amber lenses in them and they work great on the water or for everyday use. If you want a pair just for the water i believe the silver polarized lens are the best for anti glare.
