Actually surface lures can work all day if conditions are right. Normally I will fish them in the early morning until they quit working and then try them again as the sun sets.

I really have to laugh at myself--I saw "poppers" and fishing was the THIRD thing that came to mind. First, fried jalepenos are good anytime of day. Second, drugs are bad any time of day. And finally, I like to use them early, especially before full daylight. And, as birddog said, again during the evening twilight.

I'm with seadog. Thought of jalepeno poppers first. When it comes to fishing poppers I say they are good all day long.

Yeah, earlier is better. After dark is good. Especially around 12-1am.

pre dawn and after dusk are great times for poppers or any type topwater baits that make noise such as crazywalkers, jitterbugs etc. But don't leave them out when the the water chops up too. They work great when the water is rough and in windy conditions as well

No, I usually don't find any popcorn until around 7 p.m. (that is movie time).

7 am is good but I've had more luck at around 7 pm or whenever dusk is depending on the season. When all the breeze has died and the water flattens out is usually when I find them the most productive.
