Not to sound like a smart aleck, but in the past 40 years of bass fishing, I have never had an "Off Season". I am eating fried bass for super this evening that I caught today. I went to a farm pond that needs to be thinned down and brought home enough fillets for my family's super and left enough with the owner of the pond for his super. They were small bass but fun to catch. I caught them on my 4' trick rod with the SuperCaster 1000 and an old yellow vamp spook. I can always find somewhere to catch a bass almost 24/7.
I never quit although in the winter months I tend to hit fishing shows, work on my boat, shop for lures and tackle and shoot more targets. My favorite month for striper fishing is coming up in February and as soon as it gets above freezing I will be on the lake again.
Deer Hunt, restring all my rods, do up keep on my boat, beg the wife for a new boat (neverworks!) clean and oil all my reels, but i will go out if the lake isn't froze.

you can fish all year round. when i'm not fishing, i tie flies and reload. that's after hunting season ends.
Same here, I trout fish, and after the fair weather, I tie flies and shoot small game.
Small game after my deer tags are filled.
Look at catalogs, think about bass fishing, and hunt. Oh yeah, and I get all my crap organized for next spring.
