Is it still warm where you are at? If no then my first suggestion would be to jig at the lower submerged ends of the log. If yes then maybe Texas or Carolina rig some soft plastics so you limit the hang ups. If you are targeting largemouth then crank bait would normally be the first thing out of my mouth but its pretty late for that here
I have had some great luck with flipping a Texas rigged plastic salamander at the base of the log and reeling it back slowly along the log - using this technique, I have caught as many as 7 or 8 bass under the same log. A frog might have worked just as well...
use a weightless bass assasin or superfluke, and work it really slow through the cover. this is excellent around logs and is weedless, so no worry about snags.

well as of today its like 60 degrees and this water is only like 2 to 3 feet deep with alot of snags that i cant see of
I would use a Texas -rigged soft plastic reeled in very, very slow.
You might also try weedless frogs or a texas rigged Senko. Have fun the lakes are all frozen up here.

Mayby try jigging them
Jigs or rigged soft plastics would be my approach. Try some of the creature baits like beavers, brush hawgs, etc.
Buy a lot of lures
Buy a lot of lures
Texas rigged worms, and jitterbugs for logs above water.
Im from MN and around here we normally use a spinner bait they typically can bounce of the logs and make the bass hit them.
Use weedless frogs over the snags, and when you reel it up on top of a log, "hop" it off into the water, like a frog trying to escape.
