A spinner bait is my favorite because it is the most versatile. It is closely followed by topwater baits as #2 at the top of my topwater list is the buzzbait but any topwater bait is awesome as you said watching the fish come up and strike the bait off the surface how exciting and what an adrenaline rush.
I love fishing with a scum frog in real thick weeds and pads. There is nothing better than having a monster bass come from straight under it, looks like fireworks going off underwater.
I like fishing a lil shallow running floating crankbait. I'll let it sit on top of the water and just twitch it and the bass just smack the pete out of it.

The Arbogast Jitterbug has been around for over fifty years, and it is still going strong..A Jitterbug is so easy to use, and it's fun too!!!
I prefer the Zara Spook. Nothing like seeing a nearby swirl in the water just before the surface erupts.
I like the muskie jitterbug because of it's size and action!
