All of the answers you are going to get are going to be opinions, so heres mine. I use jitterbugs early morning and dusk. In the day time depending on the time of year, I use either deep diving crankbaits or texas/wacky rigged worms.

No real greatest bass lure, they all work in different places in different ways. My favorite bass lure would be spinners or spinnerbaits, and shakey head jigs.

topwater popper in the morning then switch to somethign with a spinner during the day.
