In GA they spawn about when the dogwood trees are blooming.
In the spring usually around the end of march.
When the temperature of the water, is between 65 and 68 degrees.
In the south around the middle to the end of March depending on the severity of the cold fronts.
The smallies spawn in may-june where I fish.
in maine they spawn around june. But they still get huge!!
They spawn in March in Florida, but it also depends on how the weather has been.
at the end of march, and the starting of april. when the water temp is great to fish. they are extreamly active
