Haven't used it but am looking into it. Check out Renzetti's wing burner system. They sell wing material and burners. I'm sure someone has figured out a less expensive way to do it. There are also some instructional youtube videos (search renzetti wing burner).
Not sure if you're looking for something to buy or a creative solution. Check out the following url from JS Stockard fly tying material. There are several options for wings. http://www.jsflyfishing.com/cgi-bin/category/69000
How realistic do you want it to be? If it's a fly you're going to fish, you'll probably want to use natural materials, like deer hair or feathers of some sort. If it's a display type realistic, you can use a synthetic material like (brand names) Medallion sheeting or Bett's Zing Wing, Web Wing, or something like organza. Type "realisic fly tying" into your search engine and you should get lotsa sites that'll offer tyer's own solutions to the realisic wing issue.

it can be tricky to keep it from flaring in all directions, but a little bunch of deer hair on either side works well.
