Im looking for a small fly reel (metal) im thinking 3-4wt to make an ice fishing spool, yes i am aware frabil and clam make them I have different application in mind.

I think the orvis battenkills are metal?
Lots, and lots of metal reels. And aluminum is the metal, but no use spending more money than you need to if the guy has a simple need for the reel...but he won't tell us that so the question is useless.
sorry clinchknot it didn't post computers been slow lately. i like the drag setup of fly reels for slammer ice fishing tip-up so that the fish can run with slight tension after hook is set instead of free lining or spin reel drag. i also am not a huge fan of the drag setups on the ice fishing ones right now.
found a reel! made by a new company at the wausau ice show in wisconsin, Its made by 13 fishing called black betty
