I haven't used a fly line on them. The stripers there can go over 60 pounds so I just never tried it. My uncle and I had the good fortune of catching about 50-60 of them in the 5-15 pound range one morning as the tide was going out of the Naragansett bay on the last two hours of an outgoing tide. We caught them drifting sea worms down to the harbor mouth.
