I use cut bait or chicken livers, but crawlers work well too.
I've caught more off chicken livers than anything else.
Nobody can tell me there is a better bait than Sure-Shot... PERIOD! 50 fish, 250+ pounds in a half day's fishing.

I like nightcrawlers and shrimp. Hotdogs work well too.
If you can afford to let some raw chicken rot in the sun for a day or two the catfish usually tear it up. Other than that chicken liver is great and sometimes nightcrawlers work.
ive caught them on a peice of cut up fish. minnow or some sort of smaller fish.
Nightcrawlers and small sunfish are the way to go.
