Jigs, jigs, jigs. Heck you may feel like a little kid using a bobber and a jig again, but I can't tell you how many times I've used a jig and cork to pull in crappie after crappie while the neighboring boats struggle from one or two. Even when they drift over a spot I was just at they can't seem to get them. Does take some time to get the right combination of jigging down, but it should pay off. Plus you don't have to mess with live bait and keep rebaiting your hook when tiny bluegills strip your hook.

It really depends what you're fishing for. For bass, I have had luck with some topwater lures that mimic frogs.
