Live suckers on a quick strike rig will work, my advice is to go to a local bait shop and ask about them, they will be willing to help.

The biggest brightest (or black, depends) inline spinner you can find will slay them. Spoons are always great, as is the live bait advice given. I use 6 inch suckers under a float.

live bait rigs are a very good idea but in warm water conditions sucker minnows are hard to keep alive so my advice would be is to get a couple of bull dawgs which are a sucker type looking lure made by musky inovations and also get a couple of cowgirls which are inline spinners with two big no 10 blades (get the bull head color best lure made) made by musky mahem when the water temp starts to drop from 53 degrees to freezing then use the sucker minnows but personally i would be ordering some 18 to 22inchers it takes some special gear to run the lures that i have mentioned but it will be worth it oh and one more thing when using sucker minnows for the muskies sake please use the quick strike rigs and dont let the musky totally eat the minnow it will kill the fish hopefully this helps
