I'm guilty as accused. I use several different bows, but my favorite is a wooden Wing recurve with a homemade reel. To see how to build the type reel I use, visit www.tradgang.com
I normally drive the boat but my cousin shoots a PSE Wave. He's scarey good with it too, he'll use it to shoot big minnows off the bank when we are at the islands for us to use as bait. Does a number on the Asain carp as well.
I use an old Bear Whitetail too; set at 40 pounds with an AMS rig. Hard to beat... I like the light pull weight when my fingers are wet and that rig is deadly out to about 30 yards.

I am sorry about the above posts. They were supposed to take you to "how to make a shoot through reel for a bow out of a plastic 5 gallon bucket"
I use an old Bear Whitetail with the cables off the pulleys. I too use a homemade reel.

I have several for bowfishing but my favorite is the Martin jaguar takedown with a AMS pro retriever reel.
I never tried it.
