With the ice almost off the lakes, I was just wondering when, where, and how should I fish for crappie in Southern New England lakes and around the NY area.

I just went out Sunday for the first time here in ohio because of the ice. I did pretty well for the first outing of the year. I use minnows. In cold temps. look for deeper water. When the water gets around 45-50 deg. is when they move shallow.
