I like dark, overcast days for eyes.Hard to beat good old live bait(minnows, leechs) on jigheads

Yep, overcast or early morning, late evening..I don't use live bait much...Alot of folks seem to use chartreuse plastic jigs here..I have not had much luck with that...Something like a sassy shad with the black/grey on top and white sides is what I use in the spillways or mister twister same pattern...Carolina rigged with an egg sinker hoping it doesn't get hung up to much ...It is also easier to get the jig into some of the shaded deeper pool areas during the day ...I like the rapala shad rap, works good but of course I loose a few..I use them more in the reservoir ..not as expensive

I too like a jig head, but I cut off half of body on one so I get two tails of grub...add minnow or leach or crawler...

hot pink, chartrouse, gold was good this year depending on water clarity.
I really like a heavy jig as well one that I know is going to bottom of current so I can pop it up into eye level and down again producing that lazy fat hog to bite it! GOOD Luck in advance!

count me in for jigs and minnows. If you can add a little flash it may also help. I like bettle spins.

Try using a live minnow on a Carolina rig. I also use some jigs.

I like jigs and minnows as well. I like to use the Northland FireBall jigs- ALWAYS with a stinger hook.

Bright jigs work well in michigan, I'm sure it won't be too bad an idea in Ark, put a plastic grub on and hammer the walleye.
