Now is a great time to fish ..right after ice off...try a worm and a slip bobber you will have to play with the depth of the worm a little but that will will good for you. Alot of times the fish will be getting closer to the shallows after ice out, so you may not need to fish very deep....The bluegills are still deep and won't get too shallow for a little while yet

The fish are still a little slow but they will eat anything slow moving. Hengst is right... also a little minnow on a small hook with a small sinker will work too.
