my best friends and i are planning a house boating senior vacation in Minnesota or Wisconsin does anybody know of a good lake with a good fishing history and good rental company?

Check out Lake of the Woods in MN. Lots of houseboat/boat rentals, guides if you want, etc. Fantastic fishing for a variety of species and beautiful country. Way up North so consider weather in your schedule, ice out can be late.

Not sure about the rental company but you can't go wrong fishing lake Wisconsin and cruising the Wisconsin river. Tons of fish and miles and miles of water.

Mississippi River is another option. Lots of houseboat rentals, miles of backwaters to explore away from the main channel. Fish for anything from perch to walleye, catfish, musky, bass, you name it.
