Any tips for early april striper fishing near Misquamicut,RI? There are two large salt ponds near there with apparently year round populations. Any tips for how to fish them or the ocean?

Throwing metals, Hopkins and Kastmasters(i like feather trailers) is a fun way to catch Stripers. You can cast a mile and hence cover most of the pond. Also you could chunk bunker or clam or use live eels or mullet. White and Red bucktails with a pork-rind trailer is an old but reliable tactic as well.
