Q:
To all my Surf Fishing Brethren. Any luck with the spring run. So far nothing to speak of on Long Island. Just wondering how it is in the southern states.

In the mean time I'm going to do the little guy on the left dirty. Me and my son are taking him to a Trout Hatchery in Cold Spring Harbor. You catch trout like shooting them in a barrel. Being 15 months he'll think it will always be that easy. The trout isn't the only thing hooked. Grandparent get their fun in strange ways.

Take our choice,

A: Too hot
B: Too much off and on rain
C: Too much lighting with afternoon thunder storms
D: All the above

Yet, I still have been able to have fish on the table several times a week. A flounder caught just at first daylight on a live elwy at the Big Mouth was the latest victim just two days ago.

Carl, some very large bunker schools in Long Island Sound off of CT right now. Unfortunately, what blues and big stripers that are in the sound are hanging in deep water. There are schoolie stripers in the river mouths though. Also, summer founder fishing has been pretty good around these parts. A 9 pounder was caught last week.
