I don't know about inshore, but if you're interested in a blast with some freshwater fishing, take a look at the area around Miami. There are hundreds of miles of backwater, filled with all types of tropical fish, lmb, and peacocks. If I'm correct you'll be only around 5 hours away. Maybe a future fishing trip? You shouldn't have to go that far to find great fishable water. I believe F&S did a hook shots episode on a similar trip,-check it out! Good luck, and I hope this helps.

You a good bit north of my favorite fishing spot, the Ten Thousand Islands where snook abide. But you are at a spot near the gulf coast where flounder, redfish and specks can be caught and are great sport fishing. You are also a little ways from one of my favorite lakes on the other side of the state and just north from you, Lake George. Lake George has a pretty high salt content and is great fishing. Of course lakes are all over Florida and Kissimmee, and Lake Okeechobee to the south east of you are some of the best bass fishing in the United States.
