Looks like we might be taking a family vacation to North Carolina's Outer Banks in July. Any input you'd care to offer regarding surf fishing for that area and time of year? Not really a beach person but I think I can manage a week of seafood and surf fishing. Happy new year, all.

I didn't do too well surf fishing The OBX last June, but i caught some great bass in the ponds in my cul-de-sac.
007, My wife and I are debating on either the Outer Banks or Orange/Perdido beach area of Alabama in July if we decide on OBX maybe we could meet up and rent a charter or just surf fish?
Let me know. We're looking at the week of the 18th, somewhere around Buxton or the general area.
