Q:
I was wondering what you guys would suggest for salt water fly fishing, and what fish are easy to get, and are good eating. Also if you know of some good salt water fishing gear I would be happy to listen.

I have never heard of saltwater fly fishing, I, Living in Florida have fished saltwater my whole life, but fly fishing that is new to me. As for good eating saltwater fish, Snook, snapper, and grouper are a few to say the least good eating fish. good luck and good hunt, I mean good fishing!

From what I have seen on TV and at the local stores. People here is Savannah catch Speckled Trout and Redfish on flies. Not sure what patterns they use, but anything that would mimic a shrimp or minnow should catch fish. Good luck.

You'll need a boat. Spanish mackeral are unbeatable fresh and fried. Skin and remove the sense organ that runs down the side. Find flocks of gulls feeding on shoals of minnows and you will see the Spanish striking on the surface. Use a large yellow fly. Drift into the middle. You will find them to be all you can handle.

Snook will hit on Jigs and finger mullet, snapper will hit on Live shrimp, and grouper will hit on live bait fish. Where are you planning on going?
