There is a very famous bait cocktail, or combination bait, known as the squid-minnow sandwich that is very effective, although flounder will eat just about any seafood platter you can mix up.

If when I die I get a chance to come back, please do not let it be as a shrimp. It seems that a shrimp is one of the most liked creatures on the food chain. I have caught many a flounder on them here in the south.

On a side note, we have a unique happening in Mobile bay called a Jubilee where the flounders and crabs just try to crawl out of the water and come to you. You can just bend over and pick up all the flounders you want during one.
