I like the F4 flatfish. It is only an inch and a half long, but is very good for rainbows. Larger sizes may catch larger fish, but your overall success rate will be lower.
I've had great success with panther martins, black with yellow dots and yellow with red or black dots for big browns. Kastmasters work great for the Rainbows.
Inline spinners are great for anything from a tiny stream to trolling a large lake. I've caught plenty on almost all common brands of spinner. I go with Mepps by default, but sometimes they are clearly favoring a Panther Martin. Sometimes you just need the right color and all brands will work, sometimes they are only attracted to the action/vibration of a particular brand. All of this applies to spoons, too.
There isn't a thing mentioned in the previous comments that I don't agree will catch trout well.

Thanks, Yep, Panthers work great. But I almost end-up catching more on worms than anything else, guess theres something to be said about God's bait.
meal worms with a ball or powerbait for live bait if an arafital lure then a gold panther martin
Artificial Lures: Kastmaster or Super Duper
I get more hits with live nightcrawlers though.
definately a black panther martin with red, yellow, or orange spots on the blade
Trout magnet, spinners, and if i have to :sigh: powerbait..
