Try using a streamer with a midge dropper. Trout are fattening up now, and the usually want something meaty. If they miss the streamer, they may hit the dropper. Just tie 4lb. mono about 9 in. long to the hook of the streamer and you have a dropper.

I don't use them, but would like to give them a try, will be interested to see what some people answer to this.
