My father and I are planning our first trip to the Adirondacks to go wilderness fishing for brook trout. Was hoping someone had some in-site on the best spots or good places to go?

Go to Old Forge, N.Y. web site and check maps and Chamber of Commerce.
It has been many years, but Thirteenth Lake near North Creek, NY was very good to us, and I hope it is still much as I remember it.
I would fish the Saranac river and streams that float into it located in the back country. Big brook and brown trout. Check out the site below.
