It comes in two weeks later in the 4/13/13 in my part of the state. I don't get really excited until May. Once the water warms a little, the action really picks up. But we go to the cabin every opening day, catch a few fish, and relax. It's a great tradition for me.

I used to fish Naples Creek at the south end of Canandaigua Lake in N.Y. every April 1st.
Nice rainbows.
Right there with you,can't wait!
Two weeks later up north, but i'm anxious to wet a line. Often we'll skip the opener in favor of warmer weather when turkey opens.
