Q:
In Oregon there is a boating law that says if you are between the ages of 12 and 15 you can operate a boat more then 10 hp with supervision and you can operate a boat without adult supervision if the hp is below 10. I am not 16 yeet and want to a boat that i can drive by myself. Mainly for duck hunting and fishing. Any suggestions on a small boat that would work well for these purposes?

I think you'd really enjoy the Boating Safety class conducted by the US Coast Guard Auxilliary. Contact the USCGA, Flotilla 76, at Swan Island, North Portland, OR, and they'll give you the class schedules and local sites where the classes are conducted.

Sportsman Warehouse and Cabela's both have a Jon Boat for 700 USD. Check the rivets no matter which you buy especially if it's for sale in the newspaper. Try the larger chain stores. They offer package deals, will stand behind the product and pass money saved on to you due to volume buying. Watch your wake!
