I buy tackle and bait from Hammonds fishing store, they rival Bass pro for fishing selection and hard to find lures.

I'm in Va. enough that I probably qualify, I buy a good bit from the local farm co-op. Wal-Mart used to be pretty good but they're close the bottom of the food chain for hunting supplies unless you want a pink kid's tent or something like that. Past that I head to Gander Mt.

Green Top is where I got my first shotgun, was in heaven when I was 12 in that store.

For the most part, I go to small stores when I am not shopping online at Cabelas. All my archery stuff from B&B Archery, Fly Shop in arlington that I go to for fly fishing needs.

Wal-Mart or Dicks' up here in Charlottesville, when I need a selection to choose from (such as they are) for an easy-to-get item. Sometimes I hit Woodbrook's or the place in Scottsville if I want a specific type of ammo.

Gun shows. Going by your question, that's the only place I go not on your list.

Greentop is Good To Go in my book. They have some stuff that the big guys don't. Their gun prices are fairer too

I have also gone to Southern States a few times but mainly for hardware and seed.

There isnt much to choose from in sw VA. Gander Mtn in Roanoke, place in Martinsville called Sportsmen's somthin. I used to frequent a store in Abingdon off I-81 exit 19 that had a very good selection of clothes and guns, etc. As far as Wal-Mart, they suck now! Most of my hunting is done in VA but I live right across the line in NC. 99% of my purchases come from http://www.robbyssales.com/index.htm

Wal Mart has gone way down hill So Has K Mart.
Dicks doesn't have alot of selection either.

Rednex in Tappahannock isn't bad either. Their guns are higher priced though. They are small but have some decent items.
