i would just google it or go onto a construction site and they usually have some kind of plans for it
Try the google machine on your internet
whats the holder for?,,,will u use it for the house,shed,or a shoreline rig that will attach to your truck?or boat,
I'm with 4trx300... what is the purpose?
a lot of holders I use are from PVC pipe. post another repsonse with your situation and maybe I could help more?
pvc will crack over time i have some made out of rebar and pipe

i took a thick slice of wood cut out of the trunk drilled holes in it then varnished it. it works great. and for a mobile one use pvc pipe
4trx300 i want to build one to store my rods while i am not using them. it will be for the house.
I made one a while back out of Pvc pipe and it works fine start with that.
look at some in magazines and copy them
