Bowtech, Hoyt, Mathews, and PSE are good companies to look for too.
Hoyt Maxxis 31. I absolutely love this bow, but that's just my opinion. What you need to do is go to your local pro shop and shoot every bow they'll let you. Then pick the one that feels best in your hand, draws well for you, fits your budget, and you are most comfortable with.
Go to a pro shop and try many. buy the one you like the best. Avoid noisy bows, they all are much faster than what we had even a few years ago. You want a bow that is easy to shoot and quiet, quiet, quiet. It don't matter how fast it is, if the deer jumps the string you will miss. With that said I just bought a new Mathews Z-7. It is the best bow I have ever held in my hand and there have been many over the last 45 years. Fast, smooth and quiet as a rat pissin' on carpet. Can't wait to take it deer hunting. Shot 10 whitetails and one gobbler with my old mathews in 4 seasons. Best one was a 225 lb Kansas ten point.
I'd get a Mathews or a Mathews, shoot one and you'll see! Buy a Mathews and you'll have one of the best shooting bows on the market. There are many good bow makers, but I think Mathews stand above all others.
As Del said try different bows till you find what you like and something that is quiet. I would recommend checking out the Diamond Black Ice this 1 is on the top of my list to try.
I like my Browning Rage. Very good bow and is around 400. This bow will last for many many years. Has a wide range of draw settings and poundage settings as well.
