I get Wolvarine usually, just because they are affordable and sturdy/comfortable. I usually get one size too big if I am not going to do much walking. I do this so that they will fit with my wool socks on:)

Danner boots. Don't purchase by mail; wear a medium and thick pair of socks and try them on time you find the fit you want, break 'em in before the season begins and keep them for a generation or so.

I have been wearing Muck boots and like them well. I have a bad foot and these boots are great for it.

For the price it is very hard to beat tCabela's Guide Series boots. Not completely sold on Scentlock. If you are overly concerned with odor then look at insulated Mucks or Lacrosse Alpha Burleys.

I have had a pair of Cabelas Whitetail Extreme boots with 1200 grams of Thinsulate. They have and still are fine boots. They don't weigh a ton which means a lot when you do a lot of walking. They are really comfortable too. My next pair of boots will be the same.
