Crow calls are used as gobbler locators during spring turkey season.

They work very well, too! I've had crows scouting a field that were calling to each other. Each time they squawked 2 big toms would gobble their heads off! It is actually a fairly easy call to make with your throat. Try it sometime before you buy a call. Crows make all kinds of weird raspy sounds. If you can get it to sound fairly close, chances are that big tom will gobble at it. (if he's gobbling at all)

Aside from locator call for gobblers, they are reed type calls made to call in crows!

its a call that sounds like a crow, Itll call in crows but it also is used as a locator call for turkeys.

Well, they can locate turkeys during turkey season and also...call in crows.
