Q:
What would be a good scope for a .270, a .220 sift and a .22. I live in PA and there are really never any shots taken over 200 yards, but i want to be able to take shots farther if i have to. Any suggestions?

I have a leupold vxII 6-18x40mm on my 220 swift and i love it. A leupold 3-9 on my 300 win which i think would do well for a 270, and a fixed 4 power scope on my 10/22. hope that helps... there are lots of great scope makers out there but I have never had a problem with my leupolds.

a standard 3-9*40 would do, Leupold and Nikon are good scopes. I personally have a Simons .44 mag 3-10*44 on my .270. I would have bought a Leupold but I didn't have the money at the time. Besides I've taken six deer with the scope and I kinda like it.

Don't worry about the brand right now but listen carefully what slothman said about the specifications of the scopes. The rifles you have require scopes with different specifications, i.e. magnification, objective lens size, etc. IMO, the 220 Swift may actually require the most expensive scope to allow the rifle to live up to it's potential with the .270 next.

I have a bushnell elite 3-9X50, which might seem like overkill for a .22, but this scope has never failed me.
