150 bucks for 12 gauge charles daly brand new from walmart found out later it would only pull federal 3 1/2 inch shells out of the tube it would not pull winchester or remington shells out fo the tube. winchester and remington are just alittle taller than federal shells and that little bit jams the gun
I bought 13 guns from a little old lady. All mint. Browning High Power, 1947 A5, Ithaca 51, 1950's Daly Semi Auto, 1895 45 Rem Mag, I'd go on but I feel embarassed. She only wanted $1500 for all of them. I gave her $2500.
Went to a garage sale once and the old boy had some huntin stuff out asked why he was selling it just told me he couldnt get around much anymore. Baught some shells from him and he ask me if I wanted the gun to go with it said sure what are you askin sold it to me for what he paid for it. It was a Pre 64 M12 trap gun spent $300.
I bought a unfired like new S&W model 29 44 mag still in the wood case for $350 a couple years ago, resold for $700 to a friend....also bought a Tanker Model M1 Garand for $600 with mount and Bausch and Lomb scope and resold for $1600.....
I bought a Winchester Model 70 30.06 with a Simmons Prohunter 3x9x40 scope with 3 boxes of ammo for $300.00. My uncle's friend bought it brand new, fired a dozen rounds through it at the range and decided he didn't like it and wanted a .270 cal. model 70.
I bought a savage model 12 .223 with the heavy barrel, bell and carleson stock, and harris bipod off of the local range master for $400. considering the gun itself is like $700, the stock $250, and the bipod about $100, i like to think i got a good deal. You just have to watch who you buy guns from, you almost have to quiz them about how they used it, what they shot it for, ect. He used this gun for long range target, what i used it for, and he was very knowledgeable and helpful.
