Q:
Hey guys does any-body know the max effective range for a .35 Rem.? I would like to know so I don't maybe attempt a shot at too long of range. Thanks.

That rifle comes in two speeds: Slow (150g bullet) and slower (200g bullet). They are great in the brush at ranges under 100 yards but they drop like a brick and quickly lose their energy quickly as they fly. Maximum ability to kill a deer even if you hit it is 200 yards because they are traveling so slow at that range. Keep all shots under 200 yards or less. I limit myself to about 150 yards with that rifle but that is fine for most whitetails you will shoot. This isn't a bean field rifle. This is a brush buster.

I line my Marlin in at 100 yards and would probably try a deer with it out to around 125-150 yards, tops. I carry it mostly when driving deer (instead of on stand) or for bear ahead of the hounds. If longer shots are possible, it stays at home. It gets a handloaded diet of 200 gr. Remington Corelokt roundnoses and WW748. Just put a new Redfield 2x7 on it last year, fine woods rifle.
