Q:
How does the new Savage 11FHNS in .25-06 Rem with AccuTrigger and AccuStock compare to the Stevens Model 200? I have the Model 200 in .25-06 Rem. and it kicks harder than my bigger guns! I am wanting to trade-up and get the new Savage 11FHNS in .25-06 Rem. with the AccuTrigger/AccuStock.

Do it. The latest Savages are so accurate it isn't funny. The accu-trigger is wonderful and helps contribute to this.

Excellent rifle. Embrace the opportunity. Very nice triggers and the bedding is very effective. The new recoil pad is also quite cushy. I have a new one in stainless and it is a real shooter.

It a very good rifle and the accustock is a alot better than the normal synthetic stocks they have. it is more accurate and everything. the accutrigger is nice to have but it might just need adjusted if it creeps or is to heavy.

So stock design has something to do with recoil after all? :)

I'm probably going to get a Savage 114 classic in .25-06 when the wife finishes nursing school. A little treat for me for "helping out"

I'm not a fan of Savage but would highly reccomend a Tikka T3. I have a 270 win and it is awsome.
