You will have to try a few and see. I have a 700 ADL .308 and it shoots 150 grain Corelokt factory ammo just great and Speer Grand Slam and Hot Core 150's just fine.
If the specs are right, you should have a 1-10 twist barrel capable of handling 165's and heavier like a champ. I wouldn't give it a second thought of shooting lighter bullets. Palma Shooter who shoot 1000 yards with 308 use a 1-11 twist with 155 grain bullets, so your fine with anything you want to put thru it. The 1-10 for 308, is the preferred twist for High Power Competition.
I was particularly fond of the Sierra 168 HPBT Match bullets. You have a good choice of propellants, but H380 metered well through the powder measure and worked well for me.
i do like the core-lokts.they are cheap and accurate and reliable.but i also like hornady sst's and interbonds.im going to try federal gold and see how those work.
I've got that exact gun, a model 700 sps in .308 with a Zeiss Conquest on the top. Love the gun. I shoot Winchester silvertips 150 grain out of it. Great bullet in my opinion that's done everything i've asked it to so far. For punching holes in paper I shoot core lokts or any other cheaper ammo I can find.
I got my brother a box of Barnes 168g TSXs to try and he claims they are all going through the same hole at 100 yards with his. He has the bull barrel but all is stock. Not sure what he is using for powder.
If your going to reload for it, try the barnes TSX 130gr. with Win.748. I load this in a 308 and a 30/06 and both shoot very well. I also load them for my nephew in his browning BAR 308win 3100/3200fps,light recoil and a great hunting bullet. If your shooting factory ,rem corelokt 150gr. are hard to beat. Unless your hunting very large game stay with the 150gr. Less recoil and flater shooting at most ranges. I think the old corelokt is as good as it gets unless you buy premimum (high dollar)factory rounds. Unless your gun just loves them do not pay 8 or 10$$ a box more for ballistic tips there not any better than corelokt. Never had or heard a problem with them on deer, can't say that about ballistic tips or win.surpreme ballistic tips. There just about the same bullet if not the same. IMO
I like Hornady 150 gr. sst and their 150 gr. interlocks. Just about any 150 gr. bullet seems to work in a 308 win. I've found Ramshot--Tac powder--winchester brass--and winchester WLR primers work best in my rifles and loads. the 308 is a great cabiler.

I use Winchester 150 gr Ballistic Silvertip. My Savage .308 likes it.
mine will shoot everything from 130 hollowpoints to 180s, I would start with a good 150 like a Win Power point.

My old Remington 788 thrives on IMR 4064 and 150 grain Hornady Interlocks.
Any good marksman will recomend hornady 168 grain match ammo i prefer 168 gr boat tail fmj for long range target shooting.
